Inspector checking a machined part with a caliper
Quality and lot checks

Catch the problem while the lot can still be saved.

By the time a part fails inspection, the cause is usually hours or days old: a part that went in cold, a transfer that took too long, or a quench that started late. Stamped links process data to every lot and alerts the right person while the lot can still be saved.

Example actions

What the people who own the problem receive

  • Live alert, for the heat-treatment lead

Basket B-07 is [N] minutes past its written ageing limit, so pull it now to keep the lot within spec.

  • Live alert, for the shift lead

Quench water on Line 2 has drifted above its band, so hold the next charge until it is back in range.

  • For the inspector

Check bin 14 before it moves on: it was made after a long stop with the die below temperature, and bins made that way were rejected more often last quarter.

  • For the quality head

Every process record for the lot in this morning's customer complaint is gathered in one place, ready for the 8D and the audit file.

Where a check is against a written limit, the card gives a clear yes or no, and where it is a prediction, the card shows how confident the model is.

Numbers in [brackets] are placeholders. Your pilot writes these from your own plant data.

How it works

How Stamped catches it early

Every lot carries its own process record, gathered from the machines, furnaces and registers it passed through. Models trained on your past rejections score each lot as it moves, and where there is a written limit, the check is a plain yes or no.

  1. 01

    Link

Process data is joined to each lot and batch as it moves through the plant.

  2. 02

    Watch

Live where data is connected, such as ageing time, quench temperature and die temperature.

  3. 03

    Act

An alert goes to the person who can save the lot, risky batches are flagged for the inspector, and the record is ready for the audit.

Energy and load

Energy follows every operating decision.

A reheat or an hour of a furnace sitting hot and empty uses energy that never ends up in a good part. Because most of the saving comes from running the plant better, Stamped counts energy inside every action described above and measures it against your own baseline, with tariff windows and demand peaks treated as one input among many. On the utilities side it looks at compressors, air, steam and cooling, and moves load away from demand peaks where the plan allows. Less energy in every good part is also the most practical step toward decarbonisation, and for plants electrifying process heat, Stamped counts electricity per good part the same way.

In quality and lot checks: A part rejected after heat treatment or machining has already used all the energy of a good one, so every rejection avoided is energy that goes into a part you can ship.

FAQ

Questions about quality and lot checks

How does Stamped help reduce rejections?

Stamped links process data to each lot and batch and learns which conditions came before past rejections. Where live data is connected, it watches each lot as it moves and alerts the right person while there is still time to act, so the lot is saved instead of sorted afterwards.

What kind of alerts does the team get?

For example, an alert when a basket has stayed in ageing too long or the quench water has drifted out of its temperature band. Where a check is against a written limit, the card gives a clear yes or no, and where it is a prediction, the card shows how confident the model is.

What happens to batches already made under risky conditions?

Batches already made under risky conditions are flagged while they are still in the plant, so the inspector can decide what to do with them.

Does Stamped help with audits and customer complaints?

Yes. Process data is linked to every lot, so each lot's record is ready when the auditor or the customer asks, for example for an 8D on a customer complaint.

Before you book

What owners usually ask us first.

What does it cost?
Only the pilot price is agreed at the survey. The pilot is paid and priced on its own, and the annual price comes after, based on the pilot's results.
What do we need to install?
Nothing new to start. Stamped connects to the machines, meters, ERP and registers you already have, and the survey tells you plainly if that is enough.
How much of my team's time?
Some hours with your plant head and your quality and maintenance leads during the survey, planned around production. In the pilot, actions reach the people who already own that work.
Is our data safe?
We sign an NDA before the survey. Stamped runs on a zero-trust architecture with encryption, your data is stored on cloud servers in India, and we work only with the data your team agrees to share.
